Last weekend I was at Kings of Concrete in Dublin. There was plenty of Street Art going on, as well as other forms of urban culture. I met a few people working in Dublin, such as Pi, Gene, Lints or D$.

This year marks the one hundred anniversary of the opening of Herbolari Llansà. A hundred years ago now, Ricard Llansà Claramunt first opened this herbalist's shop, in number 18 of Carrer Elisabets. The current owners, Francesca and her husband Ricard, are the third generation since her grandfather opened that day. The shop itself keeps the charm and style of the shops from the time when it was first opened.

I met Francesca a few years ago, as a customer. Since then, whenever I'm in Barcelona, I always try to drop by. It is always a pleasure to chat with Francesca. The conversation can range between the most serious personal and social issues, to the most humorous subjects, with anything in between. Her knowledge of plants is excellent, and many are sourced directly from the peoples of the catalan countryside.

Congratulations, Francesca! May the shop continue to be strong in another hundred years!

I also have a little nugget for my street art readers. A few years ago, Francesca decided that, rather than getting shutters painted by everybody, she'd comission her own to be painted. The result is what you can see below:

I've heard that she's thinking of revamping it. I'm looking forward to see how the new artwork will look like!
